The remaining balance can be paid in up to two installments, with the second installment due by February 7, 2024. If you pay with credit card there is a 3% surcharge fee. If you are booking a private (shared queen) the deposit must be paid for each person staying in the room. The remaining balance can be paid in two installments, with the second installment due by February 7, 2024.

Our payment and cancellation policies are designed to ensure a fair and organized retreat experience for all participants.

CANCELLATION & Refund POLICY:

If, for any reason, participants need to cancel their reservation, refunds are subject to the following terms. If full retreat cost has been paid, cancellations before February 7, 2024 will receive a refund of 50% of the amounts paid. The remaining 50% of amounts pre-paid can be credited towards future retreats. Cancellations after February 7, 2024 will not be refunded and cannot be credited to future retreats.

Payment can be securely made via PayPal, Zelle or Venmo. Credit card with a 3% service charge.

If we cancel the retreat due to low participation, all money paid to us by you will be returned. Unfortunately, we cannot compensate you for any flights or other travel arrangements that you have already made. In the unlikely event that we cancel the retreat due to weather or natural disaster we cannot guarantee a refund – it will depend on our receiving a refund from the venue/tour operator we work with.

Please note that there will be no refunds or discounts for arriving late, leaving early, flight cancellations, travel delays or illness. If you cancel your participation for any reason after February 7, 2024, the cancellation policy will apply, with no exceptions. However, if you cannot attend, you can transfer your spot to a friend, or family member. We wish we could compensate people for unforeseen circumstances (injury, family emergency, etc.) but we incur costs in advance to reserve venues and vendors

We strongly recommend you purchase travel insurance which will come in handy should you encounter any unforeseen medical issues prior to traveling or while traveling, last minute flight cancellation, lost baggage or other issues that affect your trip.

We believe these policies strike a balance between accommodating our participants' needs and maintaining the integrity of our retreat experience.

To cancel, you must send an email to cristina@lifebycristinarubio.com stating that you wish to cancel.

*Once you are registered for your retreat, you will be emailed more info about what to bring and any additional details.

MEDICAL CONCERNS: Insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance to cover theft, loss and medical problems is highly recommended. Some policies specifically exclude dangerous activities such as scuba diving, motorcycling, skiing and even trekking: read the fine print.

Check that the policy covers ambulances or an emergency flight home.

Find out in advance if your insurance plan will make payments directly to providers or reimburses you later for overseas health expenditures.

If you have to submit a claim later, make sure you keep all relevant documentation.

Paying for your airline ticket with a credit card often provides limited travel accident insurance – ask your credit card company what it is prepared to cover.
